I try not to get too political, because...well, I just don't know enough.

But Russia? Come on. Mr. Putin, you're fucking crazy. Not "hey look, my ex still loves me" crazy. You're "I'm going to bathe in the blood of my enemies and then drink it" crazy.

Does the world really need another war? Do we? Sure, it would make for some killer YouTube footage and amazing headlines, but come on. Enough of this dick measuring. Stop invading places. Be nice. Stop the madness.

Won't someone think of the children? I'm not even being ironic now. Do we really need to disturb shit for the future generations to clean up?

I'm with you. Too much war. It seems like the guys on on the ground on both sides aren't really eager to be fighting.

The p OK I tics of this seems odd as well. From what I see it is a question if Ukraine should be aligned with Europe or Russia. In today's world is that worth a fight? I know the Russians have a long memory and they have had some tough knocks, but this seems like a bad idea.

Here is what you need to know. Putin is intimidating and waiting for someone to strike against him. Then he can come back and not look like the bad guy. His defense for going to Ukraine is basically to 'free' or 'liberate' the people. A month or so ago he told their current president that he had no chance at reelection and basically put a gun to his head. Ukraine doesn't really have a government to begin with, so Putin can just walk up in the club like he knows somebody.

America's response is, that's bad, don't do that. Pretty weak, but we can't agitate them because we rely on one of their airports to get troops out of the middle east. If they closed that for us, the on;y exit would be Pakistan. So, we have a vested interest in not pissing Russia off. Were not the on;y ones though. Russia basically supplies the whole EU with their petrol.

To sum up, Putin's got us all by the balls and it just waiting for someone to get pissed off. He sent Ruski soldiers to a Ukraine military base trying to start shit. Fortunately, they didn't stand for that and are trying to work to together to patrol or whatever they will do. It's sorta like Hitler 'freeing' Europe in the late 30s, but everyone has nukes.

Hopefully it won't get that bad, but Putin is KGB. Everyone should have seen this coming. And I'm doubtful of him backing down. I also don't want to find similarities between Hitler and Putin. Here's the thing, though- he's not crazy. If Ukraine starts leaning away from Russia and towards "western culture," it symbolizes a huge loss of power for Russia. Not necessarily a military or economic power loss, but more that their influence, even on countries that have been tied to them forever (Ukraine,) is fading. In short, Ukraine trying to distance themselves from Russia means that Russia doesn't mean as much as a global power. Putin doesn't want to have that happen, so he's trying like hell to keep Ukraine around. It's totally reasonable to want that, it's just the way he's going about it might be questionable.

Disclaimer: I know next to nothing about politics, this is just my interpretation. If I'm wrong about this, please forgive me.
